Tony, yes, this is a Flash presentation.
I find myself wondering what St FX might have thought of this commission. During his last moments on Earth, did he find them repeating themselves in his mind? Did he feel that he had lived up to them? I mean, he never did really accomplish the mission that he THOUGHT he was going on. The far east was not exactly ablaze through his efforts. And yet today an entire missionary order takes him as their patron and name sake as they love and serve the Lord world wide. Who can say what will sprout from the seeds we ourselves plant and nurture? And maybe the really important question is not where or how many seeds we sow, but how well we tend to the seedlings. My own perspective on things makes it far too easy to focus on what is not, to the determent of what IS.
